Databases are organized collections of records that provide access to journal articles and other documents, including conference papers, reports, and book chapters. They are created by commercial publishers or scholarly societies and are often international in scope, allowing users to explore global literature in a specific field.
A journal is an academic publication that features articles written by scholars about their research. Most of them have been checked by other academics (i.e. peer reviewed) and they are more reliable than general web articles and newspaper articles.
