We are living in a "Post-Truth Era" What does it mean?

According to the Cambridge Dictionary, the term "post-truth era" are described as

".....relating to a situation in which people are more likely to accept an argument based on 

their emotions and beliefsrather than one based on facts"

 

How does the Cambridge Dictionary define "fake news"

"false stories that appear to be newsspread on the internet or using other media,

usually created to influence political views or as a joke"
