Steps for Theses Self Submission on UPSpace

Guide for Electronic Theses and Dissertations (ETD's) 

Welcome to the Department of Library Services (DLS) Electronic Thesis/Dissertation Submission Guide. The DLS is committed to provide open access to the University of Pretoria's scholarly outputs by producing simple guidelines for self-submissions.

All Masters and Doctoral students are required to submit their thesis/dissertations to the Institutional Repository, UPSpace, as a graduation requirement. The Institutional Repository Administrator will review all submissions to ensure they adhere to UP's thesis/dissertation guidelines.

This guide will walk you through the process of submitting your thesis/dissertation to the Library's UPSpace. Follow the steps 1-4 and navigate using the blue tabs.

 

Thesis and Dissertation Collection

Thesis and Dissertations are research output in support of a master's and PhD qualification presenting the author's research and findings. These outputs are housed in an Institutional Repository. IR is an archive preserving and disseminating digital copies of an institution's intellectual output. The name of the University of Pretoria's Institutional Repository is called UPSpace
