How to download EndNote 21 for Windows or Mac (Instructions)

Please follow these instructions before downloading:
1. Close all MS Office applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook & PowerPoint
2. After clicking on the Windows/Mac link, you will be prompted to fill in your details (Name and Surname,email and student number with u) then click on the submit button
3. The EndNote link for Windows/Mac will open up immediately.
4. Click on the link and the download will start.
5. On completion of download click on the icon at the bottom of the screen and install
UNINSTALL ENDNOTE 20 (AND PREVIOUS VERSIONS OF ENDNOTE) BEFORE INSTALLING ENDNOTE 21. YOUR LIBRARY REFERENCES WILL NOT BE AFFECTED.

Click on Windows/Mac to download EndNote 21.

Please note: EndNote21 is only compatible with Windows 10 & 11.

MacOS 10.14, 10.15, 11 & 12.

Versions of Endnote:

There are two major versions of EndNote: desktop EndNote and online EndNote.

The EndNote desktop software stores the programme and your citation library locally on your computer.
Online EndNote accounts store your citation collection online, so you can log onto the web and access the account from anywhere. Click to register for EndNote online

Best solution: Download and use the desktop version and sync with the online version.
