Manuals & Guidelines

Overview

UP Library subscribes to many valuable electronic resources and research databases that are available to our users to use both on campus as well as off campus. Some users experience difficulty when accessing our electronic resources when off-campus or by using devices that’s not connected to the UP network. Users should note that some browser settings might need adjustment in order to access these resources.

The recommended changes may include some changes to your workstation security settings, which might affect the ability to transfer and display information correctly. It is entirely up to users to decide whether these changes will be kept in place after they have completed their session, or whether they would revert back to their previous settings.

Minimum requirements

Users need to have the following available to them in order to access our electronic resources remotely.

  • The recommended hardware, software and an internet connection. This will be described in more detail later on, in this guideline.
  • Recommended software, such as Adobe Reader, to view the electronic files.
  • Any of the recommended Internet Browser software.
