Open Educational Resources (OERs) are educational materials that are freely available to use, adapt, share, and reuse. Examples of OER include learning content such as lesson plans, assignments, textbooks, exams, and videos and tools for learning such as software for creating videos and websites, course management systems, word processing programs training materials, and so forth. One important benefit of choosing OERs is that they reduce the costs students may incur due to high-priced commercial textbooks.
