Veterinary Science: Interlending

Interlending

Interlending is a service that can be used to obtain books and articles that are not available at the home library, from national and international libraries. If the item you need to get hold of is not in our library catalogueGoogle or Google Scholar, you can request the item from another South African or international library. Material from the Merensky library or any other branch library can also be requested through interlending. The contact person for interlending at the Jotello F Soga library is Maria Mtsweni (x8009) / maria.mtsweni@up.ac.za

To be able to make use of the interlending facility at the library, please do the following:

Books

Search for your title in the Department of Library Services (DLS) Catalogue

Note: For more efficient retrieval, it is recommended to do an Advanced Search, using all available information (e.g. title, author(s), year of publication).

Click on the specific title you’re looking for in the retrieved list of search results.

Scroll down.

Click on the blue link, “Interlending Request (Pre-ReQuest)”

If you are off-campus or connected to the wi-fi, please enter your student / staff number.

Confirm the information regarding your specific title.

Complete the form with your detail.

Submit the request.

Please save the request id for future reference.

Once the requested book is received, you will be informed by email to collect it at the Circulation Desk at your home library.

PLEASE TAKE NOTE: International material can only be requested if permission and cost codes have been obtained from users' department(s).
