Since your thesis or dissertation is regarded as a formal publication, it needs to adhere to certain language and formatting conventions. So, you might to have your thesis or dissertation (language) edited or proofread before you submit it for examination. Additionally, some of you, long before reaching the editing stage of thesis or dissertation writing, might need help transcribing interviews or focus groups. Occasionally, some of you may also require translation services. Also on occasion, you may also require some fairly technical editing of a special kind at some other point in the process: LaTeX.

To help you fulfill these needs, we provide you with am editing FAQ that was developed for the Department of Library Services.
