Access and Lending: Holds

Holds

It is possible to reserve/hold an item that has been checked out to someone else. Use Discovery to place a hold on a specific item. Once the item is returned to the library, you will be notified via e-mail. Please pick up items as soon as possible after notification. Items must be picked up at the lending section of the library that was specified as the "pickup location" when the item was requested.

Open collection books can be renewed unless reserved by another library user. If a book is on hold it must strictly be returned on the due date.

If you need a book from one of the other UP libraries and it is not taken out – request it via Interlending (document request).

Open collection books from Merensky 2 library can also be put on hold even if they are in. You will receive an email when it is ready for pick-up. Please pick it up in time as we put much effort in to pull these books from the shelf. Cancel the request if it is no longer needed.

Please cancel holds if you do not need the items any more via "My Library Account" or at the lending section of your home library.
