Access and Lending: Access and Lending

Access and Lending

Fair and easy access to learning and research resources is at the heart of the DLS vision and mission. To be able to fully benefit from all the services, facilities, and resources offered by the library, you need to be a registered client. The Access and Lending Unit assist with that. We are at the entrance level of the Merensky 2 Building on the Main Campus.

Circulation desks are also in all the UP Libraries.

The Access and Lending Unit assists with the following:

  • Access and lending services: Access and lending assists with the basic services to make all resources available to all users in the library according to their registration and/or membership category.
  • Study Collection: The Study Collection comprises of all the prescribed books according to the University’s official Prescribed and Recommended book list (subject guide). They are normally in high demand and therefore other borrowing periods and penalties are applied.
  • Interlending services: Interlending is a service that can be used to obtain books and articles that are not available at the home library.

Please acquaint yourself with the access Rules and Library Regulations.
